She gets a job as a booking agent at an agency next to a nightclub run by Kutschera, a man also involved in drug dealing, espionage, and illegal massage parlors. The trumpeter of the jazz band playing at the club talks Locker into singing there, which enrages jealous dancer Fischer, who attempts to kill Locker but falls to her own death instead. The trumpet player, Rupp, turns out to be an undercover cop out to pin down the activities of Kutschera. |
