Tragic tale of a young shepherd's disastrous attempt to find affection from an older village girl with whom he has fallen in love. As she mimics what she has seen adults doing, the boy catches her making love to another youth. As a result, the shepherd commits suicide. This abrupt and violent ending seems hard to swallow in an otherwise gentle film. leave a comment
